Duchess of Nottingham!

Kate Middleton arrives at Westminster Abbey with her father Michael Middleton. She is a vision of perfect simplicity. Like Maid Marian, a sheer silk veil covers her face and shoulders....breathless.

And It Begins...Royal Wedding is T-Minus 3 hours, 2 minutes 5 seconds

I am exausted. Knackered. I can't go to sleep. Did Kate sleep last night? My feeling is that no one in the Middleton family got past stage 1. No REM, I'm thinking...

I think the Queen slept like a log. I suspect she made the last round of phone calls to staff and signed off by 7pm. Just a hunch. I am thinking she is the only calm one. We are all soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo  excited!
Here are my flowers from the garden for the tea party tommorrow (tonight~), for my after-the-fact 8pm re-run of the wedding.

Here will be the view of the telly.

Here's the Royal Blend Tea from London I purchased a few weeks ago,
and I'm also serving Strawberry Tea and Twingings Black Current Tea.

Here are the demi-tasse teacups for the little girls who are coming with their mothers.
My good friend wrote me and asked what time the party was because her little girl is so emotional about the Royal Wedding and my tea party that she carried the invitation around in her purse, and now she can't find it. Is that the cutest thing? She is six years old and definitely a future princess...
A Duchess at least.

I'm just setting out the basics, and mixing & matching. Plastic and paper, sterling and bone china, it's every which way but were are going to have lots of fun tonight. !

Here is Mommy's sterling. 925.

I found a darling Chippendale compote which I
used as a tea bag caddy/holder...mommy was right. Not 925. But still pretty.

Nine grey horses chosen to escort Prince William and Kate Middleton

Horses with calm temperaments have been chosen to escort Prince William and Kate Middleton for their first journey as man and wife.

The royal couple will walk back down the aisle to be met by nine grey horses and riders from the Met’s mounted branch, who will accompany their royal carriage.
The party will then make its way from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace, with the grey escort leading from the front and bringing up the rear.
A mounted inspector will ride in a position known as the ‘pointer’ in front of a sergeant and three constables.
They will be followed by the rest of the procession, including the newlyweds and other royals.
Another section made up of one sergeant and three constables will form the back of the group.
‘We look at the grey horses that we’ve got and assess them for their temperament and how they match in colour,’ said Ch Insp Bob Barker, head of the mounted branch.
‘It’s going to be a real challenge for the horses and the officers on the route – the noise, the crowd, the flags.’
Grey escorts are used regularly in high-profile ceremonial events, as well as on general police patrols and at football matches.
A total of 11 of the horses have been selected for Friday’s wedding, including two to act as cover.

Green Suited Lady of Blackburn

A charming fascinator, cream gloves, a smart jade suit and a plucky floral umbrella...
Who is this green suited lady expertly darting to and fro while Prince william and Kate Middleton visit Blackburn?

Note the jaunty way she holds her petite umbrella, slightly off-center with a flip of her wrist
as her fascinator peeks out from the crowd...

Wonderful Clip of William and the royal family

Official royal wedding list, seating plan released

LONDON – The full list of confirmed guests and the seating plan for the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton were released by the British monarchy Saturday.
Many of the 1,900 invitees had already been mentioned in the media weeks ago, including soccer star David Beckham and his wife Victoria, musician Elton John and director Guy Ritchie. But others, like soul singer Joss Stone and Mr. Bean actor Rowan Atkinson — a close friend of William's father Prince Charles — were new.
St. James's Palace also confirmed for the first time that Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa will be attending, despite British concerns about the treatment of activists there.
Bahrain's royal family ordered a wide-ranging brutal crackdown against pro-democracy demonstrators that started in mid-February. At least 30 people have died, including four in custody, and many well-known activists and lawyers have been imprisoned.
About 40 other foreign royals from countries including Denmark, Norway, Spain, Thailand and Morocco will be in attendance.
Other guests include British government and defense officials, British soldiers who fought in Afghanistan and people who work for William's charities.
Palace officials said that only crowned heads of states are traditionally invited to royal weddings, and that political leaders who are not from the 54-member Commonwealth of nations, such as President Barack Obama or French President Nicolas Sarkozy, weren't sent invitations.
The seating plan for the April 29 ceremony at Westminster Abbey revealed the select few who will witness the ceremony up close. About 1,000 people will sit in the section of the abbey where views of the altar are restricted.
Queen Elizabeth II and other royal family members will sit in the front row across the aisle from the Middleton family. They will be closest to the abbey's sanctuary, where William and his bride will stand.
The Middletons will sit with the couple's friends and Princess Diana's Spencer family.
